Please have your student at the studio no more than 5 minutes before class begins. We have just a short amount of time between classes to clean up and prepare of the next.

Students should arrive dressed for art and bring:

water bottle (with water in it)

slippers or socks - outdoor shoes are removed and all supplies are included in the class fee! 

There is no parent area to observe students at work and we typically work right up to the last minute of class time. Please refrain from entering the studio before end of class time. The door opening is distracting for everyone.

Watch out for the parking lot - it's really tight - especially when reversing out of a space!

You can actually drive all the way round the strip mall - this also makes un-parking and exit easier and faster!

When your student is unwell please do not send them to class.

When your student is unable to attend a class we make efforts to catch up in the next class.

There is not space in another class for your student to catch up

Artwork stays at the studio until the last class, while it is here, we do try to take photos and upload them to ARTSONIA, an online art museum, where we have a Funky Artsmiths gallery. You will receive an invitation to join, view your students artwork and invite friends and family to do so too.

After each class, there is a brief update to the class page, (link below) a photo is added as well as any sketchbook assignment or things to remember for the next class.

Studio Assistants volunteer their time to help out with a younger class. These students are typically in grade seven and up and have been a Funky Artsmith student for at least two years. ...

They also like to "borrow" my phone for selfies!
