Read this
before your students first class....
-
Your students should arrive dressed for art - you never know when we might have plans to make something messy. We do have aprons, but they don’t cover head to toe
-
Please note our one way door system - one to enter and one to exit.
-
Before class we are busy cleaning up, getting supplies ready and giving studio assistants the low down on the class abut to begin.
-
The entry door will unlock five minutes before the start of class.
-
Artists need only bring a water bottle with them. Other drinks and any snacks should be consumed before entering the studio.
-
We do not have a parent waiting area inside the studio.

Artwork
REMINDER
-
ARTSONIA - for those new to Funky Artsmiths this year, Artsonia is an online art museum. Funky Artsmiths has it’s own gallery within the museum. We upload images of all students artwork to this gallery as work is completed. You will receive an invitation from Artsonia to join your students personal gallery. Each student is assigned a unique screen name. This is typically first name followed by a unique number. You may change the screen name if you wish first names to be hidden.
-
FINISHED ARTWORK - is kept at the studio until the art show. (Wednesday April 1st 2026). So that all artwork is kept in pristine condition and there is no mad search at home for it. This is one of the reasons why we have always used Artsonia - so you can still see the artwork and share it with friends and family.
-
RETURNING STUDENTS - if you need a password reminder to access your students Artsonia gallery - let us know!

Studio Address
and some tips on getting here
Cynthia Street runs between Airport Drive and Avenue C
which means that at times the traffic on Circle can be frustrating.
Coming from the east side....
zoom past the traffic clogging two lanes to turn right onto Idywyld and go down to Airport, it's a filtered right turn and a yield onto Airport and then at then turn right onto Cynthia at the next set of lights - easy and probably faster (at times)
If you're in Evergreen or Aspen Ridge: Mcormand and Marquis might be faster?
Coming from the south via Idylwyld...
turn left at 39th St, West (McDonalds) and then turn right onto Avenue C (it's a four way stop) . Watch for the cameras when crossing Circle Drive and then it's a left into Cynthia Street (Sandman Hotel on the corner)
Coming from the west on Circle
you are turning left onto Airport, don't go to Avenue C, you'll be there forever.
Airport Drive lights - the phasing is 1 minute for the Circle traffic and 30 seconds each way for the Airport Drive traffic, so it's not that long!
