About Our Camps

Our summer camp days are spent outside under a covered deck where we can enjoy the sunshine and the fresh air. Winter & Spring camps are in the studio, with outdoor recess and activities.

Our campers are learning about art, it's history, techniques and styles from from 9:00 til 4:00. We use artist quality materials and the skills and techniques needed to use them appropriately.

We take regular breaks and students are encouraged to enjoy this free time making new friends, play in the yard or try out some new games and free art.

What to Bring

For indoor camps students only need to bring a water bottle along with lunch and snacks for the day.

Summer camp is outside students should also bring sunscreen and mosquito repellent. They will also need to bring swimwear, a towel and a flotation device if they need it.

Field Trips (Summer Camps)

We like to take our students on a field trip on one of the camp days. We have, in the past visited art galleries, public art at the U of S and downtown. We encourage our students to sketch the art and architecture they see and discuss the art among themselves and with gallery staff.

Swimming (Summer Camps Only)

One of our campers favourite parts of the day is swim time! Sometime after 3pm every day it's pool time - once they've cleaned up their workspace, drank some water and applied sunscreen of course! When it's really hot we often allow campers an extra dip over the noon hour.

Tentative Daily Schedule

Our camp days tend to follow a regular, yet flexible schedule. We take into account the weather, the planned activities and our students needs.

We generally have one large project that students work on throughout the week as well as smaller sized projects that take from one to three sessions to complete. We strive to give our campers experiences with many art media from pastels to watercolours and a sculpture project.
